Now I Wish to talk about Kombucha. That is obviously completely unrelated to these Banana Oatmeal Cookies, however I understand you won't obey.

He claims it's magical. I claim it is nasty.

I like these cookies a little on the side, so that I bake them for 9 or 10 seconds. If you want them to be cooked through, I'd shoot for 10-11 minutes.

BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES
1/2 cup unsalted butterat room temperature
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a big bowl with an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then blend in the egg until fully incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl again and add the skillet and vanilla.
Gently add the the flour mixture to the banana mixture and blend until just blended.
Scrape the sides of the bowl and then stir to recombine.
Use a medium cookie scoop (approximately 1.5 tablespoons) to scoop the dough on prepared cookie sheets leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
Bake in preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes.
Remove cookies from the oven and gently press on the shirts of each cookie using the base of a drinking glass. Because these cookies do not spread considerably, this will help give them a traditional cookie form.
